Of note, today, I'm getting rid of my landline. No longer will you be able to call (217) 356-3598 and get the lovely computer voice answering machine.
I've been keeping it for emergencies, but I figured at this point, what's the use. It's hard getting rid of that number, though. I've had it for a while. Kind of depressing, honestly.

Yeah, I would get rid of mine...but I have DSL. So I can't. But I would.
Did people actually call you on it?
I would say, "welcome to 2002" but I still haven't pulled the trigger on a DVR
I did get calls from my credit card companies and things from time to time, for sure. And my dentist's office. That's about it.
And lord, Amber. The DVR is a worse ommission. Although the Mrs. doesn't have one either.
